Account & Data Deletion

This page explains how users of VidDub (developed by Shenzhen Netsoft Information Technology Co., Ltd.) can request deletion of their account and the associated personal data, in accordance with GDPR and Google Play Data Safety requirements.

1. In-App Deletion (Option A)

1. Open the VidDub app on your Android device.
2. Tap the Settings icon at the bottom right.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
4. Confirm by reading the warning dialog and tapping Confirm Delete.
5. Your account is marked for deletion immediately. You will be signed out automatically.

2. Email Deletion (Option B)

If you no longer have access to the app or prefer to request deletion in writing:

1. Send an email from the same email address you used to sign in with Google to szsoftwell2026@gmail.com.
2. Subject: Delete My Account
3. Body: please include the email address registered with VidDub, and the approximate date you started using the app.
4. We will process your request within 30 days and confirm by reply email when deletion is complete.

3. What Will Be Deleted

Data type	Action
Email address (Google Sign-In)	Anonymized — replaced with deleted_<id> placeholder
User account record	Marked as deleted; account cannot be reused for sign-in
Uploaded videos and processing files	Permanently removed (these are deleted from cloud storage (OSS) within 24 hours after processing in the normal course of business)
Translation history and consumption logs	Permanently removed
Privacy consent records, login logs, app analytics events	Detached from your identity; aggregate, non-identifiable usage statistics may be retained
Purchase records (Google Play)	Detached from your identity but retained for tax and accounting compliance for the period required by applicable law (typically 5 years)

4. Data We Are Required to Retain

Some data must be retained for a limited time for legitimate legal or operational reasons, after which it will be permanently deleted:

• Purchase / billing records — retained for the period required by applicable tax and accounting laws (typically up to 5 years), but with all personally identifiable fields removed.
• Anti-fraud signals — anonymized hashes of device identifiers may be retained for up to 12 months solely to prevent abuse of free trial credits.

5. After Deletion

• You will no longer be able to sign in to VidDub with the same Google account.
• Any unused translation credits associated with the account will be forfeited and cannot be refunded.
• You may create a new account at any time by signing in again with the same or a different Google account.
